Yes, thanks. I had already done the types of things that were recommended there. The problem is the links seemed aimed at solving a problem different from mine, i.e. how store documents in the cloud to free up space on your computer. I have the opposite question, how do I delete documents from the cloud to free up room in the cloud, while making sure that I still have them on my computer. Unlike a lot of people I have plenty of room on my hard drive. It's iCloud that keeps sending me messages that "iCloud storage is full."
Maybe I'm not asking the question the right way, or maybe it's just unresolvable. I may be trying to use iCloud in a way it's not intended to be used. I just wish I could confidently hit delete to a picture or document that is in the cloud and still be sure that I'll have it on my computer.
