My phone won’t back up to iCloud saying there’s not enough storage but I have 1.2gb left of the 5gb given. there’s nothing much new to back up

iCloud storage It seems not matter how much space I clear for backup it says I don’t have enough storage. Currently it appears I’m under 50GB data which I pay for monthly. But phone won’t back up

iCloud back up I show that I have used 3.8 GB of storage out of 5 GB. However the phone will not back up. Always comes back stating not enough iCloud storage available. any ideas my wife’s 6s. Trying to merge the phones.

You’ll have to re-examine your storage needs as something is preventing the backup — If you can't back up to iCloud or restore from iCloud backup failed - Apple Support.

Have a look at your storage on the device to see what needs to be deleted/saved.

I already have with photos videos and a couple of apps etc and I have 1.2gb of iCloud storage left but apparently that’s not enough to do a back up. I have more than 40gb left of my phone storage too
