Is it the case or the AirPods themselves? If it is the case, I suggest getting the Apple Support app from the iOS/iPadOS App Store. There, you can book an appointment at your nearest Apple store if it is open, or you can get online support. Do the same for the AirPods, but first try cleaning the metal contacts inside the case and on the actual AirPods.
