I currently have a MBP 2019 running on MacOS Cataline and it is definitely compatible with sidecar, but my Ipad is just an Ipad Mini first generation with a different apple id which is my mom's. Are there alternative softwares or features or third party stuff that can act like sidecar so I can make them work together?

You need a much, MUCH newer or “newer” ( used ) iPad.

There are alternative ways to extend a Macintosh’s display to an iPad however none of them are compatible with iPad mini (1st generation).
