Apple Music duplicate playlists

All of my playlists have suddenly made 50-60 duplicates of themselves. How can I get rid of the duplicates, and prevent this from happening again?

Hi Jeff,

It looks like no one has responded to your question. Here are a couple things that might help others answer your question:

Is this happening on more than one device?

Are these playlists that you created or added from friends or Apple Music suggestions?

Do they seem to still be duplicating themselves or have they stopped?

Have a great day!

And, yes, on multiple devices the same duplicate playlist problem occurs. Interestingly, if I choose to play two different “versions” of the same playlist, they will appear as different items if I select Recently Played. Any solutions other than deleting thousands of duplicates? Or cancelling my Apple Music subscription, and moving to Spotify?
