Bluetooth keeps disconnecting

I have a new iPhone 11 Pro Max with iOS 13.4.1

the Plantronics Bluetooth I’ve been using with no issues on iPhone 8 is now connecting and disconnecting continuously. I’ve read posts on this problem and an earlier iOS Update was blamed. But I have the latest update.

what can I do to fix this?
