apple watch not connected to iphone

Why is my apple watch not connected to my iPhone? After the latest update on my iPhone 8 plus this morning I updated my apple watch to its latest version and then I unpaired my apple watch from my i phone it took more than hour but didn't connect Hope you will help me.

Why did you unpair your watch?

Have you tried manually pairing? Restarting both devices?

Yeah I tried but nothing worked does that mean that latest iOS version doesn’t support series 5 of Apple Watch?
