IPad email not marking read

When I select my email and read it, I have to manually mark it as read. It won’t automatically mark the email as read, even when I move to another email.

Hello,

Try updating to iPadOS 13.4.1 to see if it resolves your problem.

Settings > General > Software Update

It’s already been updated, that may have been when the problem started. Not sure.
