Not receiving Texts while on call!

Hello all. After updating to ios 13 I have noticed that while I am on a phone call and someone txt me I don’t receive it until the phone call ends. After it ends I end up getting all the messages that were sent to me while I was on the call. I don’t remember this being a thing before. Example, on the phone with someone and they take a picture of something funny and send it to me I dont receive that txt until after I hang up. Is there anyway to fix this??
