What I want to record a Voiceover in FCP using my equipment from Logic Pro X. I have the Apogee Elements 24 and a XLR microphone. So I guess this is not possible and I need a USB Microphone?
If I need a USB, any recommendations. Thank you for your help.

Problem solved. In FCP>Window>Record Voiceover. Then Select Advanced>Input>Elements24.

Have you tried to configure your existing equipment for FCP X voice over use?
Use the System Audio Settings.
I use a Rode Podcaster USB mic.
It's end address and does a great job of eliminating background noise. Also has an earphone jack and volume control. Very handy.

This is my first time capturing external audio in FCP. So I thought it would not be a problem. But it seems like there is not a way to tell FCP what to use similar to Logic Pro. For Input I would use Element24. Output seems to be the problem.
In principle, any device that can be used as a source for audio input for your mac should be usable for voiceover input in FCP X.
