I bought a new iPhone with a new network. I transferred everything over during the set up process by having my old iPhone close as directed. I wanted to keep my old number so waited for that to help between my providers. When I make it receive calls my old number is used however when I send texts it comes up as the number that came with my new SIM and it also shows this in settings as my number. I don’t know how to rectify this? Please help x

The phone number is connected to the SIM card. You will need to work with your carrier to get a new SIM card connected to the number you want to use.
Then I would go back to the current carrier for further help with this.
Thank you. I did ask my old network for my PAC code, I got that and gave it to my new network and my old one said “goodbye” as such. My new network then said it would transfer on a certain date which it did as I checked by making a phone call as soon as I got the text from them to say it had transferred. Confused!
