Just recently (maybe linked to an update?) I see email (Mac Mail) on my phone but not on my MacBook. Both are linked to the same iCloud account.
Any thoughts??

The iPhone / and Mac must be signed in with same Apple ID and password say example1@icloud.com on the same high speed network then syncing will be hundred percent , if gmail services is used to create Apple ID then it won't , see the article for Mac https://support.apple.com/en-in/guide/mail/mlhlp1227/mac
I went into mail and selected "rebuild mailbox" that seems to work though it takes forever (if you have a ton of emails ;)
sometimes I wonder if the sync is just slow btwn the devices...i've noticed it most often happening in the morning when I open up my laptop (after having first checked email on my phone....)

Thank you! That article didn't quite cover my issue however I did rebuild the mailbox and that seems to have fixed the problem.
