SMS Messaging stopped working yesterday after an update

I have a 27" iMac running macOS 10.15.4, just updated yesterday. Randomly, following that update, I can no longer send SMS messages from my desktop at all. I have checked the settings on my phone and can clearly see that this machine is still selected/approved for "Text Message Forwarding" so I should still be able to send and receive but neither is working. It is only allowing iMessages now from other Apple users, no regular SMS will work. How do I fix this? I really don't even know where to start.

Okay, never mind, I figured it out after a very confusing 24 hours of frustration. I had to disable the SMS forwarding on my phone, restart my phone, and then re-enable the SMS forwarding for it to begin working again. Great news - All of the texts I typed and tried sending for the past 24 hours while frustrated just went through to all the recipients at one time just now. So, to some people I just sent like 30 texts all at once that will make no sense to them at all before they even normally wake up. Hooray!
