iMessage SMS Text SPAM Is a huge problem

HELP!

What's the solution? i'm about ready to turn off the SMS feature completely because I am so sick of getting Spam text. That's the only solution I can find. I'm so nervous I'll accidentally click on a link that pops up on my screen from these SPAM text and boom, They are in.

Also, How do you forward SMS to that SPAM number so that at least they can block the numbers? I can't seem to figure out how to forward from iMessages.

Yes, I have the filter for contacts versus unknown turned on, but it doesn't work for SMS, so there's no help there.

Well, boom, they are not in. There is no way to hack an iPhone from a link in a text (or email, or web page, for that matter). You should forward SMS spam to 7726 (SPAM). There isn’t anything you can do about iMessage spam.

SMS is a cellular carrier function. If anyone has a spam follow up process for SMS, it would be your cellular carrier.

I receive none.

I also didn't give my number to Facebook, WhatsApp or any social media sites.

Oh, that’s awful. I haven’t been afflicted with this problem. Maybe the fact it’s reported to Apple would help a bit.

Yes indeed.

It seems to me to be one small benefit of the covid-19 pandemic that the spam volume has decreased recently.
