My External Monitor Stopped Working After Catalina Update

After I updated my Macbook Pro OS to the new macOS Catalina version 10.15.3, My external monitor is not being found. I plugged in my sisters new Macbook pro which she hasn't updated and it works fine.


Would anyone be able to figure out why this is happening?

Get help with video issues on external displays connected to your Mac - Apple Support

Try resetting NVRAM/PRAM http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1379

and

Try resetting the SMC https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201295
