No one can use your old phone unless you can remove your Apple ID from it.

In settings click on Your name scroll down and log out then settings general scroll down and erase erase all settings and data
Thanks so much master o tech. I forgot the apple id. My new phones cool cuz I wrote it down. I can’t remember the old phone😐
