If you want to trade it in your device, you can download the Apple store app, go in and make a purchase it will ask you if you are trading in the phone and give you an initial amount for trade-in. I believe you pay upfront and they reimburse the value of trade in, once they verify the condition it's in.

Everybody only users of Apple products, no Apple employees are here. You either go to Apple Store, or Apple Store Online, (click Apple products top of this forum) the options are there about new iPhone Pro Max.

I’m advising you to take photos of your device before sending it for “trade in.” There are plenty of complaints in this forum about people’s trade ins were rejected because of “damage.” Apparently, person never taken photos so they all stuck. Also, Apple has “ third party” company doing their “trade in” program, so if have any “trade in issues,” you have to deal them, not Apple.
