Reset old iPad if old and new iPad have same apple id

Deleting all settings and data on old iPad if new iPad has same Apple ID as old one. Does this affect new iPad ?

Hello,

If you follow these steps in this Apple Support document then erasing 1 iPad will not affect the other.

Not in the least. You can erase the old iPad but it you want to set up the new iPad with the data from the old iPad, do that before you erase the old device.
