Unwanted auto-renewal of subscription

I paid for a 6 month Tinder subscription 6 months ago and have hardly used it. Then today I got an email saying I’d been charged £54.99 for a renewal of something I don’t even use. When I tried to cancel through ‘report a problem’ the response I got was: “We've determined that your purchase does not meet the conditions for a refund.“ Please help. This is my first iPhone. I didn’t even know I had subscribed as I would expect to see a direct debit. I thought it was a one off payment.

Hi Neil, I filled the form out, copying and pasting the above. A representative contacted me and said they’d reviewed my case and... agreed to a refund. They answered all my questions via an email conversation and my subscription is now cancelled and I’ve received the credit note for my refund this morning. Thank you ever so much for your help.
