Assigning old phone to my husband

My husband would like to use my old phone. I have put his old sim card into the phone but it needs to be set up for him to use. How should I do this please?

Do the following: What to do before you sell, give away, or trade in your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

then set it up as if it was new: Set up your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
