Is anyone else having trouble with the Reminder app after updating to Mac OS Catalina?

It will spend some time converting your icloud reminder records to the new format and you will need your iphones and iPads to. convert ("Upgrade") reminders in ios13 in order to sync.

@peter_watt I tried updating the Reminder app, but it does nothing! I delete the past completed reminders and then they’re there again the next day. This whole app is terrible now, and need to be repaired or returned to the old format

Apparently it can take some time to process of you have a lot of reminders.
I have a few hundred and it took only minutes.
I also believe it happens in the cloud
