I have an MacBook Air 2017 running High Sierra 10.13.6 and I am unable to update Numbers, Pages, KeyNote and iMovie. Is it because I need to update the OS to Catalina? When I try to update to Catalina, I am able to download, but not install.
I finally got the Catalina to install. For some reason, I had to reinstall the last Sierra update again before I could install Catalina. Thanks for all the help. Now the updates to numbers, pages, keynote and iMovie were able to update.

Which year is your Macbook Air? Are you downloading MacOS Catalina from your System Preferences app -->> Software Update or by some other means? If you are going through Software Update from System Preferences then it should begin installing automatically after the full download is completed. Let us know.

You can download Catalina installer from following site and downloaded Installer will be stored at Applications folder.

Double click the installer you downloaded will start to install Catalina.
There is no installer.
I tried this 2x it shows it's downloading but then I cannot find it in the applications folder.
Good Job. You were able to tie in the missing link with the last update of High Sierra and complete updating to Catalina. Appreciate the amount of patience it takes to get this done.
