Photos app not displaying dates and locations

Hi, recently all photos in the app are clustered together without being separated into dates/locations. Not sure how to get back this info. I checked in iCloud are they are separated correctly there.

How are you viewing the photos? In the All Photos album? Or in the Moments tab? All Photos will just be showing an endless stream of photos, while the Moments should be showing the dates and the places in macOS 10.13.6.

What does the Info panel show, if you select a single photo and open the info with ⌘𝐈 ?

Is the date and time and the location correct?
