no passcode, please

I just updated my iphone 8 plus to ios 13.3. It is now asking me to create a passcode. I don't want a passcode. How do I get around this step?

Look at the very bottom of the screen. See if there's something that says "Skip this step" or something similar. I think there used to be. If not, set it up then turn it off when you're done setting it up.

Touch ID & Passcode>Turn Passcode Off.

Just remember the passcode long enough to do that.

I’m sure you realize that without a passcode most of the functions that make an iPhone a useful tool won’t work. No Apple Pay, no password keychain, no iCloud sync for a start.

Thanks for your input, but for my purposes iPhone worked just fine without a passcode before the upgrade and is working just fine now with the passcode turned off.
