How to get iTunes 12.9.5.5. to allow me to choose a library

Having just wiped my MacBook Pro after a crash, I'm attempting get iTunes 12.9.5.5 to choose my recovered library and associated files. In keeping with the instructions on the page below, I copied the contents of my library to my MacBook Pro. When I opened iTunes 12.9.5.5 with the shift key depressed, no message appears allowing me to choose a library. Help?

Ha! Solved it myself. Turned out I was reading instructions for Windows, not Mac. Using the option key rather than shift allowed me to connect my old and fabulous library. Thanks.
