Can you make an .mp4 file or .mov file with keynote? I need to upload my videos to a site that won't accept .m4v files

So far all the movies I have made on keynote come out as .m4v

iMac Line (2012 and Later)

1 - Make these settings in Keynote


  • File > Export
  • Select Custom in the resolution dropdown menu
  • enter appropriate pixel values in the number entry boxes
  • select H264 option


2 - After export use a video converter application to convert he exported m4v to QuickTime movie
