My iPhone 8 continues to dim even with True Tone, Night Shift, etc. turned off ?

As the title says, it's continued to dim since I've bought it new just as it would if I had the settings turned on for it to.

I have appearance "Light"; Automatic "Off"; True Tone "Off"; and Night Shift "Off".

Is there a setting I'm missing that's still causing it to dim automatically?

I'm totally up to date with the iOS to this day and it's continued to be a problem since day one, with every update.

Never-mind / Apologies, I think I found the hidden setting I've been missing :)

It's under the main Settings menu > Display & Text Size and all the way at the bottom is "Auto-Brightness"
