What iPhone do you have? If you have an iPhone X or later you need to press the side (power) button and the volume up button at the same time. If your iPhone is any earlier you need to press the home button and the power button. If this still doesn't work and rebooting doesn't work take it into your local Apple Store, it could be a hardware issue.
