I have upgraded my new iMac to Catalina and have it and my iPad Pro signed into my iCloud. but my iPad Pro is still not showing up in sidecar

Where was this iMac purchased and do you know what model iMac this is?
There are plenty of iMacs that will run macOS Catalina, but do not qualify to run certain macOS features, like Sidecar.
What iMac model do you have?
In the top menu in the Finder click the Apple symbol and then click About to give us basic info about your iMac.
Then in the pop-up info box the gets displayed, click more info to get all of the info about this “new” iMac.
Only Macs from late 2015 and newer support the Sidecar feature.
To be clear I just purchased this iMac two days ago and was told it supported sidecar and that my iPad Pro would work with it
