IPhone X Green line on right side of screen

A bright green line has shown up on the right side of my IPhone X screen and has not gone away even after shutting the phone on and off and on again. What is it? and what can I do about it?

It's a defect and needs to be replaced. Make an appointment at an Apple Store.
