Music in the cloud still uses 30 GB on phone

I turned on music in the cloud and my local library is now available from there, but according to my iPhone storage the Music app still takes up 30.8 GB on my phone.

Is it just the app or are the songs still on my phone?

Hello simonfromsanta clarita,

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities! I understand that you have a question about the storage on your iPhone. I'm happy to help you find some information.

The 30 GB would be the amount of music stored on the device. Here a resource that can assist you:

Add music to iPhone and listen offline

Specifically, the section on "Manage storage space"

If you have an issue after reviewing the link, please let me know.

Have a great day!
