os catalina no option to partition external hard drive

Hi, I just got a new external hard drive - Toshiba Canvio Basics 1TB.

I have reformatted it to Mac OS Extended (Journaled).

I want to partition it but the partition tab is greyed out.

Any suggestions?

Ok, figured it out. Didn't notice the option to change to GUID or Apple from master boot record
