ipod not recognized after upgrade

After upgrading to windows 10 and new version itunes my ipod mini (old) is no longer recognized. How can I fix this without changing settings?

First check for updates from Microsoft, particularly if using the Microsoft Store version of iTunes. Otherwise try iOS device not showing in iTunes for Windows - Apple Community. Ignore the title, the same steps should still help. If you cannot get the store version to work with your device you may need to switch to the iTunes64Setup.exe version.
