I Pod classic playlists

Hi,

I have an iPod classic. Upon connecting it to my Mac for the first time since the iTunes / music change, I see all my tracks but the playlists are not listed. They are all still on the iPod but it appears that I can no longer manage them or add / delete from the Mac.

My ipod classic and touch will no longer sinc with my Mac book Pro running Catalina My ipod classic and touch will no longer sinc my play lists or full library with my Mac book Pro running Catalina, a few of my play lists but no where near the 100 lists I have in my library, all were on my pod's previously. Also of the 20 play lists that newly appeared several only contain one song.. I cant drag and drop lists, or choose what to down load.. what is available is chosen for me and is a tiny fraction of what I own.. further all of my music was purchased via iTunes its not like its cds or other sources .. What wrong?

iTunes alternatives Since I ended up with MacOs Catalina, I can no longer manage my iPod's playlists. My iPod is an old iPod Classic but works perfectly, so why should I change it? I only use it to while away the night hours while I don't sleep after all. But I'm really annoyed that the current 'Music' app doesn't let me do anything with it any more. Are there any apps out there that can be used as alternatives (MacOs Catalina compatible) that will enable me to alter, add or delete playlists when I plug my ipod into my MacBook Pro? Maybe to add or remove songs too.

Unfortunately Music & Finder do not replicate all of the functionality of iTunes. If you want to make playlists for your iPod classic I think they will now need to be made in Music and then synced to the device.

PS. I manually manage everything on my iPod.
