What happens if I take too many videos and my iPhone 8 runs out of disk space?

If I take too many videos and my iPhone 8 runs out of disk space, would some of the videos be kept on iCloud but not on my iPhone? (I have 200 GB of iCloud drive.)

No. That’s not how iCloud works. If you use iCloud Photos, that does help save some space by optimizing photos, but you cannot use iCloud as an off device storage method. iCloud Photos keeps photos in sync and available on all devices. If you delete photos and videos on the phone, you delete them everywhere.

You will need to make some space on your device by removing content.
