How can I get Catalina TV app to play home videos continuously?

TV App questions In macOS Catalina, if you have downloaded SD and 1080p video, how do you get the TV app to play the 1080p video? It seems that when you play, the TV app is playing the SD version (and I'd like to have it play the 1080p version). Also, how do you tell when a video's been played? I have a bunch of videos downloaded so they're not susceptible to streaming idiosyncrasies - how do you tell in the TV app which ones have already been watched? iTunes used to display IIRC a blue bubble next to unwatched videos, but the TV app doesn't seem to have carried that feature forward. There are a bunch of nice things about having iTunes functionality moved into macOS (like being able to stream even if iTunes isn't launched), but there are also some things which seem to be missing.

Using Catalina on my MacBook Pro. When I want to show a home video using TV app, I get the message 'TV Quit Unexpectantly' I am using Catalina on my MacBook Pro. When I try to open TV app to show a home movie, I get the message 'TV quit unexpectedly'. The app did work for a period of time after Catalina download. How do I fix this issue? Thanks.

Apple TV+ app not saving progress on Roku stick Saw a bunch of posts on this not only for Roku but Firestick. The app doesn't bookmark any progress on an shows on the Apple TV+ app which is ridiculous. Streaming apps are supposed to make things simpler and easier not even worse than VHS cassette tapes which at least would retain your progress if you pressed stop. The canned Apple support answer is to remove and reinstall app. Doing this does not change anything.

I realized all I have to do is play a playlist, and Catalina TV app will play continuously.
