Notes not syncing from Mac through iCloud

I have an issue where my notes will not sync across all my devices. Most specifically when I paste screen shots from my Mac into a notes folder. Everything is up to date and notes is on through iCloud. The notes app seems to be the only app that has a hard time syncing through iCloud in real time. Is anyone else having this issue? What can I do to keep my notes up to date more accurately?

This was not helpful at all, in fact in made my issue worse. When I unchecked and then rechecked notes it began syncing from the iOS versions which were the ones out of date. So I lost all of my school notes that I had. I had to go through time machine and restore some screenshots and even then I was not able to recover all of them.

If I could "Unhelpful" this comment I would. I only selected "helpful" with the hopes that I could select "no"

Syncing of notes is time taking process , the major factor is high network speed , the two devices are to be signed in with same Apple ID and password on the same network , in your screen shot in front of iCloud the small circle is rotating it means all the notes data is not yet uploaded to the iCloud server .Make sure in both devices the iCloud storage must be in limits .

From Mac use any method like mail , air drop ...

I will try the air drop method as an alternative, however, I would like the advantage of the notes syncing automatically. Even after the loading dial disappears the notes on my other devices do not show. All devices are on the same network, I have sufficient cloud storage and have the sync option through iCloud turned on. They have synced previously but these last few notes have failed to sync across devices.

It is just the notes app and screenshots pasted from Mac into notes that are not syncing within these most recent instances. As in the most current two folders I have made with pasted screen shots, are not syncing. I am certain they are within cloud notes also.

Try going to iCloud.com using a computer browser to see if the items are there and whether they are from the device or the computer. That should show whether the device or the computer isn't syncing. If the computer, try going to System Preferences/iCloud and stop syncing. Wait a couple of minutes, then recheck syncing. If the device, go to Settings/Your Name/iCloud and do the above. As a last resort, you can also try signing out of iCloud and then sign in again.

I have this problem too and it appeared to start after upgrading to Catalina.

Notes don't sync properly across my iMac, iPad Pro, and iPhone XS.

If I add a note in iCloud it will sync down to the devices, but if I add a note in the Notes app on my Mac or iPad it does not sync.

Tried enable/disabling notes in iCloud with no luck.

Thanks for posting. I've been wrestling with this for days. Major problem. Spent an hour and some with AppleCare help fellow. Got all the way to reinstalling OS (Catalina, I'll never update so quickly again! I though I knew better. Been using Macs since 1985) I'm going to give Apple one more chance, then start looking seriously at another way. My personal and professional organization and planning is majorly dependent on Notes.
