Garageband. How to break up tracks in an imported vinyl record album?

I've imported a complete LP to Garageband but I cannot get Garageband to make the "breaks" between the songs which are the markers for stop when you use the >button to reach a new song. Seems even long "pauses" do not have the wanted effect. Anyone got a good advise??

you have to export each section (song) of the one long region, one at a time

turn on the Cycle Region button and stretch the yellow bar to exactly encompass the song section you wish to export:

then when you send to iTunes, check the tickyBox to Export Cycle Area

repeat for each song
