iPhone sync to iTunes

I plug my phone into my computer and iTunes does not open up. When I go to open iTunes my phone does not show up in iTunes. What can I do to fix this problem?

The first thing I would try is to quit iTunes, restart your phone and your computer. If that fails, look here for more suggestions.

Two questions.


  1. Did you go through the troubleshoot stores in the support article? You use those steps because your device is not being recognized in iTunes. That’s the whole idea behind doing the troubleshooting.
  2. Did you click on the Help button on the diagnostics device connectivity test from your screenshot? If you did, what did the help tell you to do?
