How can I find my most recent Photos Library?? I hope I have not lost all my pics!!!!

HELP!!! I can't find my most recent Photos Library!! I was trying to back up my files and something happened!!!

LOST MY photos library I wanted to resolve duplicate photos in Photos and I stupidly downloaded an app that helps do that. I opened it but never clicked on delete anything but it asked me to locate the photo library. I seem to have LOST roughly 21,000 photos. I assume the original library is there somewhere but I cannot locate it. All that I hace are around 217 "recent" photos. Can anyone help me please? Please? Thank you Jeff

What happend if my photos library is deleted by accident? My Photos Library is saved in my pictures folder. The only folder that is not backed up by Icloud (as it is not allowed). While this is just a hypothetical I do want to known the potential consequences if by accident my photo library has been deleted or cannot be recovered. What will happen, how do I retrieve it? Reason why I am asking is because I do not have an external drive to make a backup, so I just want to know what happens when I cannot retrieve the library. Especially knowing that the photos are synched on Icloud, what will happen then?

where is my photo library? I was trying to make a backup copy of my photo library, when I go into Photos > Preferences > Show in Finder it takes me to the file user > Pictures > Personal Photos.photoslibrary, but the date on that doesn't reflect the changes I made today (or since May 12 for that matter): When I try opening it to see if it contains the changes I made today I get a warning that says this is the first time I'm opening it. So, if this isn't my photo library, where is it?

Usually your photos library is in your Pictures folder, unless you decided to move it someplace else.

The next time you open Photos click and hold the option/ alt key down and a window will open with all the available photoslibraries you have, with the path to where they are.
