MacBook Pro is too hot, and battery consumption too fast

Resetting SMC doesn’t work. I’ve got a new Macbook Pro 2019 15” on October 8th and it’s freaking hot!

Even though there is literally nothing using high CPU, it gets very but very hot. I can’t even use it on my lap.

It has the latest Catalina btw. What can I do? I think I will return the device to the Apple Store. :(

I agree: my motherboard has already burnt down once and I had to replace it for 400$. At the time no one was able to tell me why this happened or what triggered it . Now, the computer has started to heat up again despite its utilisation as a mainly word-processing laptop. Should I bring it back to the Apple Store ?
