Activation lock (Can’t remember password or Apple ID)

Did you just buy this iPhone?

Are you sure that it was sold without an Activation Lock?

If it's locked to your account, recover access to your Apple ID. Start here:

If you forgot your Apple ID - Apple Support

If you forgot your Apple ID password - Apple Support

If you cant recover access to it, find the box of your iPhone and the original receipt that proves that you are an owner of this iPhone, contact Support directly and ask them to unlock it for you.

If you purchased it from a person, contact him or her, the original owner is the only one who can remove Activation Lock. Apple won't get into this issue.

Did you buy it new or was it a used phone?

If this is a used device, you will need to contact the previous owner to have them log out of iCloud or go to iCloud.com/Find My Phone and erase the device, then remove it from their account. If you can’t do that, the device is useless. Apple will not unlock it unless you have a copy of the original purchase receipt with the serial number on it.

Activation Lock - Turn off Find My iPhone 

If necessary, if you are the original owner, take the device, the original purchase receipt with the serial number, and a photo ID to the nearest Apple Store.
