That happened to me just the other day...


Make sure that your Lightning cable is connected properly - I had to unplug > replug a couple of times = with the cable that came with my iPhone


If you are certain the cable is connected well, you may need a new cable


If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
