You have adware/malware installed. Use  Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for Mac. It may be necessary to run more than one scan. After scanning a couple of times, restart the computer and test. If necessary, follow the manual instructions.  Do not download any other programs that are listed in the articles.   Malwarebytes uninstall

are you using Norton? I have had this annoying bing redirect 2 times so far, I would get rid of it, reinstall Norton and it would come back so this time I deleted Norton and like magic safari was searching with google just like I have set up in preferences, I don't know what's wrong with Norton but it won't be getting installed on my MacBook again.

Yes I have tried resetting google chrome and removed it from search engines multiple times. It used to just get re-added to my search engines but now it is not even on the list and it still redirects to bing.

The malware software has not worked for me. I have run it 20 times and it says I have nothing on my computer but yet I google and it directs to bing.

Did you try the manual uninstall? Please do not download any programs from the web sites.
