Importing songs in iTunes Library to Garage Band

What is the song that is in my iTunes Library does not show up in the Garage Band Media Browser for selection despite downloading it to my library, re-authorizing my computer, and adding to my playlist?

Thanks! How does one know if music files are DRM protected?

we're using older versions of iTunes here, but the concept should be similar enough to the latest version:

ctrl-click the song and choose Song Info

click on the File tab

under Kind if it has DRM it will say "Protected AAC File", or something similar

i'm going to guess: Twist and Shout from the Beatles ;)

assuming you likely meant "why" rather than "what"...

since you mention you had to authorize your computer for the song, it sounds like that song is protected by DRM (digital rights management)

unfortunately, GB can't import DRM protected music files.
