My kindle app keeps freezing at the opening. I have 7500 books loaded

It maybe the sheer amount of loaded books in the Kindle app.
Also, what model iPad do you own?
How much free internal data storage space is left on the iPad?
How many possible background running apps do you leave in the iOS app switcher?
How many active Website tabs do you leave open in your Web browser?
Not sure why it keeps freezing then.
Have you tried a hard reset of your iPad by holding down both the Home and sleep/wake buttons simultaneously until your iPad goes to black and restarts with Apple logo, then release the buttons?
I have an iPad Pro 10.5. 256 HD
over 100 G free space
