Connect 2018 Macbook pro to 2017 iMac 5k

Is it possible to connect my macbook pro to my iMac via thunderbolt 3? If not, is there a way to plug my macbook pro into my imac so I can use the imac as a secondary display?

That iMac is too new to support Target Display Mode. Please see the system requirements for TDM here:
