Resetting of old phone data

i bought a iphone xs and while setting up the phone, it asked for apple ID which i used for iphone 5s. Now everything is copied in to the new phone. Can i reset the iphone 5s? Will it erase from the new iphone XS?

How do I clear data from old I pad? Rec’d a new IPad. Copied from old iPad to new one successfully. I changed the Apple ID on old one. How do I clear the data from old one.

yes you can

and not clearing older devices does not zap all your data on other devices
