The Apple App Store is not located on my Apple TV. My iTunes Store is there and lots of other pre-set applications which I do not use. Therefore unable to download any other apps. Have re-set back to factory settings and reinstalled but still nothing. Any ideas ?

Only the recent models, 4th generation and later, have support for an App Store. The older models have preset ‘apps’, and users can’t add to that.

That would be a 3rd gen, which only has preset 'channels' sent via server and has no support for the app store.
Thanks, just checked on my model, it is a 3rd generation unfortunately.
Thanks, the model number is A1469, had it about 5 years, so probably too old. Will check it out.
