Battery

My daughter’s MacBook Pro doesn’t turn on. It’s plugged in to the wall.

that's gotta be annoying. You could do a hard restart by holding down the power button until the MacBook Pro shuts down and then restarts. you could also reset the smc/pmu and zap pram. How to do that can be found on Apple's support pages for Notebooks, or if you knew the model number and year of your MacBook Pro, google or yahoo. it's a pretty simple procedure. You also might want to check on Energy saver settings under system preferences. it looks like a lightbulb. I don't know anything about your daughter's MacBook pro, other than it doesn't turn on and it's plugged into the wall, so I can only give you general help.
